The Weekly Flush

Flushin’ Friday: Star-Spangled Clogs Edition

Special Holiday Drop- Because no one wants a plumbing emergency during the fireworks.

Before you fire up the grill and light those sparklers, make sure your plumbing isn’t planning a fireworks show of its own.

Because trust us - a holiday weekend is when pipes love to rebel.

This week’s Flushin’ Friday (yes, we know it’s Thursday) is here to help you avoid an Independence Day disaster… from below.

Tip of the Week:

Holiday Host’s Plumbing Checklist

Expecting a crowd this weekend? Do this before they clog your good mood:

  • Test all toilets (jiggle that handle, make sure it flushes cleanly)

  • Run hot water + dish soap down slow drains

  • Remind guests what not to flush ( wipes, feminine products, paper towels, napkins)

  • Hosting BBQ? Do not pour grease down the sink. Not even “just this once.”

Stick this list on the fridge. Or tattoo it on your arm. Either works.

Bonus: Got Bad Water? Fix It Before Guests Arrive.

Before your aunt comments on the “crunchy” ice or your cousin brings bottled water:

Treat your guests to soft, filtered, freedom-flavored water.

Maintenance Minute:

Fireworks for the Wrong Reasons

Every year we get the same calls:

  • “We had 15 people over and now nothing drains.”

  • “Someone flushed a sparkler.” (Yes. Really.)

  • “There’s water everywhere.

Your plumbing wasn’t built for a block party. If you’ve been putting off that drain cleaning or inspection, do it now before the fireworks come from the guest bathroom.

Leaky Laugh of the Week:

What did one toilet say to the other during the barbecue?

“This party’s a blast, I’m just trying to hold it together.”

Weird Thing We Found This Week:

A kid flushed a miniature American flag. When we pulled it out, he saluted it.

We respected it too much to be mad.
